Those Mayans .Unfortunately we won’t get out of it that easy.I am having a peaceful new years eve.How about you.Cheers anyway…Update on sound design.Punch drum machine preset pack in the final death throws .Ableton LIVE pack with DJ AfroMac 99.9% done , New VST presets for FAW Circle synth 99%done(Its called Radius).Up coming gig at Delicious Party 21st of January (DJ set almost done)DELICIOUS.2012 looks big an awesome from here and really looking forward to it with new tunes and sound design packs coming out as well as lots of live gigs and hopefully a release or two with the Somerville /Wilson collaboration blossoming.May this post find you safe and well .Big ups and shiznits from SYIKOM.

Hell so much going on at the moment.Finishing 1 Inch Punch Pack for Rob Papens Punch drum Machine for Voltage Disciple which has now turned into 2 packs in one with a Tech House and House Banks as well as a sample based bank, so taking a little longer than expected,In the midst of this finishing some awesome Nu disco/house tracks with my new producer buddy Craig Wilson which we have road tested at Frau Frau productions Delicious gigs and got a great response.Stay tuned for a release date for these tracks.Also finishing a new Ableton LIVE pack for Voltage Disciple in collaboration with New York producer Afro DJ Mac.This will be a glitch type pack made with sounds from MOOG synths.I can sleep when i am dead i figure so bring it…..

Good morning,well evening actually but it is morning somewhere in the world.Just had a holiday and caught up with best mate which i enjoyed immensely .Ate too much and drank too much Golden Ale but hey WTF i had a good time.Whats new .One Inch Punch our new pack for Rob Papen’s PUNCH drum machine is taking shape so keep a watch out for that.Getting some tunes written and enjoying my new BLOCK controller from LIVID Instruments,awesome.What else.Here is my latest House set for your listening pleasure.Enjoy.

Sometime in the future……So here’s the pitch.we make a show about ordinary people building stuff or laying concrete slabs and then standing around watching it dry.Are you serious…..Yeah believe me, they will love it.See the catch is we add emotion to the mix and viewers develop a love , hate relationship with the ordinary folk elevating them to superstar status.Damm straight they will write about it all over that new internet thing thats just starting up.Just think of it no more booze/drug filled starlets to deal with whinging and moaning and costing lots of money. Hell when that 3D thing gets better we will just render them in.

Fuck in all my born days i’ve never seen such boring as bat shit rubbish passed off as entertainment as this endless reality tv bombardment we now endure.Jesus wept.Now where are my slippers….

Hows it going.having fun we are.Just finished the Voltage Disciple preset pack for Aalto.This synth pwns.I very excited about this instrument and our bank of presets.Completing demos and packaging now so stay tuned for imminent release.Voltage Disciple also got a nice write up in Wusik Magazine.Thanks to Dave o Mahony for that .We love press,back soon.

Lost and Found

A few things.I am writing this post on my new MacBook Pro and very nice it is too.The laptop that is.I needed a laptop for my live performances as well as my sound design work.It makes an excellent friend for my studio iMac.I have pimped it with an ultra sd card for storage which beats a usb drive for speed.You can pick these up at good camera shops. Plus a magic mouse.What else.Well i finished doing some presets for Rob Papens PUNCH instrument and these are included in the instruments presets.I will be designing a pack of 3rd party presets for this instrument as well so stay tuned for that at Voltage Disciple.Lost but now found is VOLT100A a free Ableton LIVE pack which is available for download at Voltage Disciple.This pack is based around a mysterious old synth which we dusted off and sampled , cut up and tortured to give you a glitch type drumrack at 96kHz.Go get it at Voltage Disciple, its free did i mention.

We have also just purchased Aalto from Madrona Labs.A Buchla type vst/au for Mac and now Windows.We have already started programming presets for an upcoming pack so stay tuned for that as well.This synth is extraordinary and well worth being in our arsenal as well as yours if your keen on unique instruments as we are.
